Miodrag Milovanovic, a priest
- BIOGRAPHY


MIODRAG MILOVANOVIĆ, known as „Prota Mile", was born in the village of Donja Trepča, Ljubic county, district Rudnik, in 1913.

He finished a six-grade seminary in Sarajevo in 1935.

Just before the start of World War II, was awarded the Order of St. Sava III order.
1943 - graduated at the Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade.

1952 - The Bishop of Sabac-Valjevo, Simeon (Stankovic) awarded him a higher rank.

1956 - became a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy-group of classical philology.

1936 - was ordained to the rank of deacon and presbyter by Nikolai (Velimirovic, the bishop of Zica at the time.

He served as parish priest in Brezno Takovska in Brankovina.

1950 - The priest was appointed governor and Hierarchal in Sabac.

1959 - The priest was appointed to the Cathedral Church in Belgrade.

1967 - The priest goes to Australia, to the state of Victoria.

1969 - after returning to Belgrade, was appointed Secretary of the diocesan board of directors of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac and Hierarchal governor of the City.

1974 - he was appointed administrative director of the patriarchal office.

1977 - now a pensioner, admitted duty priest at the temple of the Holy Shroud of Theotokos in Belgrade.

1990 - was appointed Acting Secretary of the Belgrade municipality of church and monastery Vavedenje clergymen in Belgrade.

Since 1995, he has only been a priest of the monastery Vavedenje.

1996 - His Highness Serbian Patriarch g. Pavle awarded him.

His pastoral work has never stopped.

Always active, truly spiritual, Prota Mile is a living nursery of the God’s word.

Around him many are gathered who are eager for more and are heard by Prota Mile, who does it remorselessly, in the glory of the only God.
